Early Cross Dressers

Four images of cross dressers are shown here from an anonymous album. Only one, the image at left, bears any identifying information. It is date stamped July, 1926 and the word Bonnie is handwritten across the top. This fellow makes a good Bonnie Parker (of Bonnie and Clyde) if not in his defiance of the law, then in his defiance of social convention. The gent below puts on his best grande dame complete with fox skin and at bottom left, a young man completes his demure house maiden look by posing in front of the open door of her (his) inviting home. At far bottom a pretend sailor steadies a hefty gent sitting in his ill-fitting sundress.
